Years ago when Obama was running for his first term, my neighbors kept talking about how great Obama was. I never said a word to them about being conservative because back then I was more centrist. At the time I was a 1099 consultant so I paid for my own health insurance. It was about $650 for a family of three and we had a fairly low deductible. After Obama won and the ACA passed, I lost my health insurance and was told by BCBS that I had to go through the government website to apply. My insurance went from an affordable $650 a month to $2400 a month with a $10k deductible per family member. When I said this to my neighbor, they called me a liar. I asked them where they got their news and they said they watched Jon Stewart. I laughed so hard and they never spoke to me again. I’m glad they finally moved. I just wanted to say this: these are the people we are arguing with online. Completely uninformed buffoons. If you get your information from a late night comedian talk show host, we are not on the same level. Good riddance, Colbert.

Going through my "For You" feed. There is a whole lot of crazy going on in X this morning. It's not even about actual stuff. It's all X drama and hate between users. Some guy wants everyone to pay $1 to comment on his posts. Two mega-accounts are threatening each other in a crazy cat fight. And on and on and on. Days like this are when I get a little tired of X.

What stands out most about the Pratt campaign is that it has taken Democrats’ strongest play and used it against them. Democrats always cast their opponents as oppressors, but this time it’s Pratt who has framed Bass and Raman as the true oppressors- the people who burned his house down and made the city dangerous. For months I have been saying that one of the ephemeral things to watch for the Midterms is the summer 250th Celebrations. Normal people will be celebrating with patriotism because they love their country. The Left thinks our country is evil and they would provide a strong contrast to voters. It began today. On Memorial day. Normal people honored the fallen soldiers who gave their lives in order to protect our freedom. The Left honored George Floyd. The contrast begins. And the contrast will grow as we move through the summer.
