As we show, this results in a strategy for the experimental inference of the chemical forces that drive the active swimming. This is a project from my PhD work with @RGolestanian and @AgudoCanalejo at @mpids @LivMatPhys .

A thermodynamically consistent description for stochastic swimmers far from equilibrium. Through an exact model, it is shown that external forces affect the motion not only by passive dragging but also by influencing the active swimming via the mechanochemical coupling.
