I’ve just been called a “fucking bitch” by a cyclist because I wouldn’t give way to him on the pavement. The poor lamb had to go into the road to get around me and my guide dog.

Please don't tell a chronically ill person that it could be worse. We may not have it as bad as someone else but that doesn't invalidate what we go through. Don't let someone who doesn't know what it’s like to be in your shoes tell you the degree of your problems.

My "high functioning" autism is me appearing outwardly successful but it taking every ounce of myself every second of every day to not make one small (brain wiring related) mistake that literally destroys everything in an instant.
