We should be celebrating the 73rd anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights today, but there doesn't seem to be a lot to celebrate this year, just a need to remind everyone of its provisions and why they are important, especially in China, Myanmar, Sudan and UK

¿Esclavitud moderna?

Are we celebrating 30 July 2021 as WORLD DAY AGAINST TRAFFICKING IN PERSONS? Is it appropriate to celebrate a date marking the success of Belarus' coup at the UN - the adoption of an awful 'global plan of action to combat trafficking'? A sign of Belarus' support for human rights?

🚨NEW🚨 Pledge to end #MicaDebtBondage! Much of the world’s mica comes from India and ends up in our daily products. It's the mineral that makes our cosmetics, cars and phones sparkle ✨ But do you know about the struggle for those who mine mica? 🧐👇 freedomunited.org/advocate/end-d…

As we face the worst crisis for the world's poorest since WW2, I’m asking @DominicRaab to safeguard the UK's long-term commitment to 0.7% #UKAid. The Government must set out how it will protect the most vulnerable, not just IN the UK, particularly children & migrants #SaveUKAid

@barnardos Well done, Barnardo's, for giving us much needed advice on how to make progress in the face of prejudice and worse. What a pity that many of our MPs don't set a better example!

Talking about white privilege means looking at how our own actions maintain and support racist systems and structures - regardless of our intent. We’re sharing some actions that parents can take to help create a fairer society. #WednesdayWisdom bit.ly/3eNP3xp
