Zimbabwe Ha! Thank goodness for the introduction of UK e-Visas… because losing my wallet ,with that now-redundant biometric residence permit inside ,would’ve had me on Sh*t Street, corner Kaak Avenue 😅 Not so long ago, this would’ve been a full-blown crisis. People have genuinely been “stranded” in Zimbabwe for months, waiting on replacement documents just to get back into the UK. I’ve seen it happen ,six months of your life on pause. But ,I’m sitting here scheming … I’m not even sure I’d call it being “stranded” anymore 😂. I mean six months at home? A journeyman makes a plan. In fact, being forced to sit still for a minute might actually open your eyes. I’ve been watching closely, moving around, talking to people,and there are real gaps in the electrical and mechanical contracting space here in Zims . The kind that don’t just need filling ,they’re calling out for someone with skill, network, and a bit of hustle. Funny thing is, a situation that used to feel like a setback could easily turn into a reset,a nudge. Maybe even the kind that makes you realise you don’t have to run back. Aikaka! Because there are corners in Zims where you can make proper sheet$… if you know what you’re doing. Oh before the smart ones wake up. NO! I still don’t have dual citizenship ,and it’s by choice.

On a serious note… with a small dash of desperation 😅 Yesterday, en route to Bulawayo , I made a stop in Gweru and managed to secure my Atorvastatin and Amlodipine from Lakefield Pharmacy. Big thank you to Samantha for the excellent service and for checking my BP, top class. But the real VIP, Ramipril 2.5mg, is still playing hard to get. I tried two more pharmacies in Gweru, nothing. Last night,enroute from Tsano Paul's house in Morningside, Lionel AKA Ritchie, our In-Drive guy, took us to the well-stocked Emergency Pharmacy here in Bulawayo… great smiles, zero Ramipril. Kings Pharmacy also said “not today, boss.” Today I’m off to Booties Pharmacy, hoping for a breakthrough. If anyone knows where I can find Ramipril 2.5mg before the Manchester City vs Arsenal kickoff, please assist,my blood pressure and match-day nerves are both at stake.

The Ministry of Justice has backed down and will no longer be proceeding with its obnoxious, nepotistic and corrupt title deeds pilot project after a fierce fight back from lawyers. Now that the lawyers have prevailed, the public must now fight them and their State. Why should people be required to consult lawyers for a service they do not need? How is a 91‑year‑old titleholder expected to afford legal fees that are finagled upon them without consultation or their consent? How much will the state charge for this service, and who will benefit from those charges? Are private companies providing this digitization service, and who is behind them? From the perspective of the title holder who made an outlay to acquire property and obtain a deed of title, is this expropriation of money reasonably justifiable in a democratic society?
