@sciqst @Cancers_MDPI Thanks so much! We are aiming to do some studies looking at clinical outcomes, so TBD, but I will say there have been MANY occasions where 4DCTs have failed and 5DCT saved the day. We are currently running a study to compare these head to head and their impact on planning.

Impressive work, Michael! The integration of 5DCT into clinical workflows certainly pushes the boundaries of precision in radiotherapy. I’m curious about the specific clinical outcomes you’ve observed so far. How does the 5DCT enhance what 4DCT already offers in terms of accuracy and patient comfort? When you’re constantly reviewing radiotherapy isodose distributions on large computer screens it’s easy to lose sight of just how amazingly accurate linacs are. We can deliver ablative doses of radiation with mm accuracy! Here are a list of other things that are 1 mm in size

Research wise, I’ll be continuing my motion and biomechanical modeling efforts, aiming to push them in new directions and bridge them to clinical endpoints. I’m also looking for some new avenues to help boost my research independence.
