Neocons opposed Trump in 2016. In 2024 they backed DeSantis, who didn't win a single caucus in Iowa. In 2024, INDEPENDENT VOTERS and MAHA formed a coalition, gave Trump 7 for 7 swing states, and the popular vote win. The politics are clear. Neocons are electoral toxic waste.

This is a great example of the failure of credentialism. Random people have to explain basic political science to a so-called “Professor of Political Science.”
The Strait of Hormuz issue is the perfect “allies” test. The United States has very little direct interest in the strait, as almost none of its ships or energy flows pass through there. So before the United States starts doing all the heavy lifting, it is the ideal moment to ask those who actually benefit from the strait being open what they are willing to contribute.
The fact that they all said nothing is proof of what Trump has been saying all along, that supposed “allies” are really just freeloaders. So this was never about whether the Europeans could actually help with a handful of dilapidated frigates. It was a test, and they all failed.

Well. Wouldn’t you? Their President is paid over three quarters of a million dollars a year, and their VPs all get $300k+ a year.

I don't care about Mullin getting the job one way or another. I think he was a crap senator. That said, Rand is a Cato libertarian who wants cheap labor and amnesty, but can't say it anymore and keep his job. He's a fraud on immigration and I don't trust him at all on this issue.

There are two things most people who don't know @ssankar well (or only know him as an engineer) would be surprised to learn: (1) he has a freakish deadlift, it's actually upsetting how much weight he can deadlift; (2) he just wrote an incredible book.
