CHARLES HOSKINSON: TRUMP'S MEMECOIN DERAILED CRYPTO REGULATION Charles Hoskinson says crypto was on track for a bipartisan regulatory win, until TrumpCoin changed the optics. According to Hoskinson, the CLARITY Act was expected to pass with broad support in late 2024. Around 70 senators were projected to vote yes, and crypto had backing across both parties after the Gensler era. Then $TRUMP launched. Hoskinson argues the timing mattered. Launching a personal crypto project before a clear regulatory framework gave critics an easy narrative: crypto became “Trump = corruption” instead of a neutral technology issue. That shift made it politically harder for Democrats to support the bill. He says the fallout wasn’t just political, it distorted the market. Bitcoin pushed to new highs, but altcoins stayed suppressed as regulatory uncertainty froze risk-taking and capital rotation. Hoskinson’s takeaway is blunt: if the framework had passed first, TrumpCoin could have launched later with legal clarity, less backlash, and likely more success. @MinswapIntern Of we staked a small portion of the Treasury like I suggested a year ago, we could've paid them out of the rewards. We can control inflation by adjusting fees. Can't have governance without ppl and nobody wants to work for free. Stopping all governance means no updates to Cardano

What is mind-boggling to me is that the democrats in leadership still cannot accept that Biden declared war on crypto, brutally attacked everyone running a business, and tried to bankrupt or arrest all the leaders of the industry. No, you were not just "enforcing the law," you made up laws- repeatedly lost in court- and promoted ambiguity to hurt us all. We spent 3 years trying to pass laws to help resolve the ambiguity. You killed the legislation. Coinbase tried more than 20 times to "come in and register". You ghosted them and then sued them. Ripple had to spend nearly half a billion dollars to win against the SEC's aggressive war against our industry. Where is the fucking apology? Any elected leader who fails to grasp this shouldn't be in office, and we'll actively campaign against them and fund their opponents until they do.

This is the guy that told everyone no one was at the Cardano summit in Lausanne.. I spoke with him and told him there was thousands there, he disagreed because they have an algorithm that shows how the Cardano community is just bots. I asked for where the data was and he said it was proprietary..🤡🤡🤡 He literally disagreed with me about there being many at Lausanne when I was at the event in person and saw for myself whilst he was stationed in his studio on another continent looking at “proprietary data”

The left has become the party of institutions. It doesn't matter if its large universities, the fortune 500, banks, big pharma, or big tech. Thus crypto is fundamentally incompatible with their worldview. They can't build in permanent monopolies for their donors.
