Margaret Theresa of Spain was born in 1651, she was the daughter of King Philip IV of Spain and one of the most recognizable princesses of the Spanish Habsburg court. Like many royal girls of her time, her future was shaped by dynasty before she was old enough to choose it.
In 1666, at just 15 years old, Margaret Theresa married her uncle, Emperor Leopold I. The match was meant to strengthen Habsburg power and keep royal bloodlines tightly bound within the family. As empress, she faced immediate pressure to produce heirs.
Margaret Theresa was pregnant seven times in just a few years. She gave birth four times, suffered miscarriages, and only one child survived to adulthood: Maria Antonia of Austria.
In 1673, four months into her seventh pregnancy, Margaret Theresa died.
She was only 21 years old.

I love this post.
Because it very clearly demonstrates how one-dimensional the MAGA mind has become and how thoroughly personal bias has replaced basic reasoning.
Among people with normal, non-cult-adjacent cognitive function, it is genuinely not complicated to understand that someone can live one way while supporting other people's right to live a different way.
Psychologists will be studying this mindset for decades.

What I find interesting about the Newsoms is that they both relentlessly promote liberal/left ideologies that are corrosive to family formation and undermine traditional values. However, at the same time, they've been in a heterosexual marriage for 20+ years and have 4 children together. By those measures, they are more "trad" in terms of their own lifestyle than most Americans are, even a lot of conservatives aren't married with 4 kids. So what that tells me is the Newsoms KNOW that the traditional family model is the best; that's why they chose it when they both could've chosen anything else. But as elites they still promote insidious ideologies that end up harming the ordinary people who listen to them. It's a perfect illustration of "luxury beliefs."

The Denmark detail is the one that should stop people cold.
NATO allies had to genuinely war-game shooting down American planes. Some of their military leaders still haven't fully processed having run that exercise. The most popular app in the country identified American products to avoid buying.
And now Trump is demanding - his word - those same allies solve the Strait of Hormuz problem his war created.
NATO invoked Article 5 once. For us. Their soldiers died in Afghanistan. He told reporters they stayed "a little back." Their governments remember that. They've drawn the conclusions and they aren't reversible.
