You know what happens to you if you submit $7.8 million in fake invoices to the government? You go to prison. These guys got a repayment plan and a DFL lawmaker vouching for them in committee. Then a million dollar check. Direct appropriation. No competitive bidding. Quietly slipped into a budget bill. The DFL wanted the payments to continue. They made sure of it.
