I was getting Arby's for my son and I tonight. I looked at the prices of the meals. $13 for many of the items. Nearly $30 for fast food dinner. It would have cost $12 total less than ten years ago. Every dime I have saved towards retirement is worth a penny now. Having a 401(k) with a million bucks is paltry when you consider how hard inflation will continue to eat into it each year after you quit putting money into it. The system is rigged. Only cheaters win. The rest of us work our whole lives only to be poor at the end due to massive inflation from socialist ideas like minimum wage and absurdly wasteful and fraud-riddled government programs. The country is in debt up to its eyeballs and our money is losing value every year, at a growing rate. What a disappointing end to the American Dream.

@trashpatrolband @sadjazzwxtch Yes! I recently visited a newly opened "antique shop" that was like a time portal to my childhood. Kinda crazy how items from the 80's and 90's are considered as old these days. I'm 44-years-old and it's as though the 90's wasn't so long ago... in my mind, anyway.

That's a shame! It would have been fun. I know there are lots of other small shops you can already go to for used physical media, but having an actual brick and mortar store revived around the concept of physical media would have signified a really cool cultural shift away from the monopoly streaming seems to have with media in general. Oh well.

@Emilio2763 I NEVER USE door dash. NEVER will either. McDonald's French fries for example taste great or like shit depending on how many minutes after they've come out of the fryer. Even w/ a drive through and perfect timing, in 10 minutes the fries taste lile shit. So no thanks !

Maybe I was just born in the wrong time? My frustration is geared towards politicians who caused such an insane wealth gap while eroding our economy.

They are compatible, but I do believe in it. I have hobbies (music, videogames, sports) but also love my job and it gives me purpose knowing that I’m contributing positively to society. I understand that’s not the case for most people, and that they will never even get to experience it
