@humbleblazer Very true but it is amazing what you can get PQ wise for $1,000 these days. I had a 200 pound Sony 34XBR910 I had to pay break even “selling” it and was $2,000 new. Still have a Panasonic plasma 58v10 from 2009 that looks great and heats my Living Room…

@humbleblazer You could get the Hemi in a 300S it was just rarely ordered that way. Pentastar is solid, I really like my 2019 Charger R/T had a 2006 before it. 2011-14 is nice but the 8-speed makes a huge difference from the Nag1 5 speed. I’d love the final 300C with the 6.4 …

@pmtiegs One thing to consider, are you replacing an older 80% furnace? If so you won’t need as many BTUs going to 96%. Most places are lazy and don’t do any load calculations and just spec like for like. I think attic install is huge labor up charge.

@Mike_M_Klotz I will reserve judgment until I can hear in person. I’m not happy they appear to have kept the active exhaust off the standard output Hurricane. For 2017+ all V8 cars had the same active exhaust and it is glorious. I think the High Ouput sounds better but they both should!

@Mike_M_Klotz I agree with you I’d like to see another $4-5k off the R/T and I think that will be the real world spread. Same was true for the 2015-2023 models. I think exhaust is same regardless especially with performance pack. The Scat gets larger wheels on their performance pack.

@Mike_M_Klotz We had 1985 (powder blue with blue interior) and 1991 (silver with Marron int) Caravans growing up and my parents later got a 2001. The 85 was 4 cyl and slow… the 91 had the Mitsubishi 3.0 and 3 speed and felt “fast” the 2001 was the Chrysler 3.3 and 4 speed.

My very first memory of cars being amazing was walking up on a bright red Pontiac Fiero, and loosing my 5yo mind that someone would just park their Ferrari on the street like that. My parents didn’t correct me.

My very first memory of cars being amazing was at the doctor's office in Menlo Park. My mom had a herniated disk, had the surgery, and the neurosurgeon had integrated physical therapy in his office, so I got dragged along as a 12 year old twice a week for a month. I didn't mind because in that parking lot was this white car always parked by the entrance. No idea what it was, but literally every aspect of the thing struck me. The big air ducts with fins along the side. How small it was. How this prancing horse logo was like a sculpture. The name... a "Spyder" But the piece de resistance was looking through the open top, and seeing this absolute mechanical masterpiece of a shifter - this polished gate with a polished stick and a big ball on it. I had never seen such a mechanical thing! It was both so artful and purposeful and analog (later I would learn, very Italian). Ferrari has strayed further and further away from the analog to just being a rich guy bauble. Accessible in every aspect but price. Sad.

@humbleblazer Man first car I bought was a ‘96 SS in year 2000…. Didn’t really need a car, parked it in my dad’s garage and sold it 2 years later for damn near what I paid. That greenhouse looks so huge these days.

@Mike_M_Klotz You’re correct that enthusiasts loved them but they looked like a bloated Malibu and sold poorly. If it looked better it would have sold more just look at the Charger Scat Pack and Hellcat sales figures when they overlapped in market. Doomed to fail as import and styling.

Product review: Shark Rocket. Broke in less than a year. Assembled with security torx, so unless you have specialty tools you cannot fix it yourself.
