@kevinblue345 Unless there is a court order restricting the father’s parental rights then their list is irrelevant. It is possible that the mother did not include the father on an approved list because he is the father and has the same rights as her & assumed that the list was for other people

I’m embarrassed asf to post this, but HELP.
How do I make this stop? I clean it for her, it still ends up like this.. she cleans it, she cries about it and it still ends up like this.. I’m OVER it.
I tried grounding her. Taking electronics. Cleaning it for her. Helping her clean it. & NOTHING.PHASES.HER. She genuinely doesn’t care. I told her yesterday “if your room doesn’t get cleaned today, you’re grounded” she looked at me and said “ok? I don’t care.” I even asked to remove it because once a person came to us for an order that they ordered from my store, Tedooo app, it was such a shame that the buyer accidentally saw it.
We don’t live nasty. Our house is always spotless. HOW DO I GET MY GrandKID TO JUST KEEP A CLEAN DANG ROOM? She’s 8 if that makes any difference for any type of tips, ya girl is tired.........

Quite frankly, based on grades alone, the average college-educated parent is probably more qualified to educate their kids than the average college-educated public school teacher

Their 18 year old daughter just graduated a few weeks ago. Her parents thought they were being fair for not kicking her out at 18 but they are kicking her out after she graduates. They told her if she wanted to stay, effective June 1st, she would have to start paying them $200 a month plus the costs of her own food.
If she wanted the rent with meal plan, it’s $300 a month and she can eat from their fridge. They feel they are teaching her responsibility in a controlled environment. I think the amount they are charging is reasonable and fair, it’s still cheaper than being on her own. Do you think this is too expensive too cheap, or do the just hate their kid?

This man complains that his daughter stays in her room all day and doesn’t enjoy talking to him and his wife. Whenever she does come down for food or water, he’s always reminding her that when she turns 18 either she can move out or pay rent. I never understood why people do this as a scare tactic to teach kids responsible. Is it possible that his interactions like this is actually damaging his relationship with his daughter. Isn’t he giving her a vibe that he doesn’t want her around or is this a part of teaching her responsibility?

@MrWhiteMAGA If the sign says open until 11, customers should reasonably expect service until then. Closing the kitchen early without updating the hours just leads to frustration—especially after someone drives that far.

THE LONG DRIVE…FOR A CLOSED DOOR
If a restaurant says it closes at 11 PM, shouldn’t they serve customers until 11 PM…or is closing early acceptable?
After driving nearly an hour across town, a hungry couple finally pulled into the parking lot of a restaurant they had been craving all night. The sign on the door clearly said “Open Until 11 PM.” It was 10:30 PM when they walked in.
But instead of being greeted by a host or a menu…they were met with a blunt message.
“Sorry. We’re closed.”
Confused, the couple pointed at the hours posted on the door. It still wasn’t 11 PM. The staff explained that the kitchen had already shut down and they weren’t serving anyone else.
Frustrated after the long drive, the couple asked for a manager or a phone number where they could file a complaint. They wanted answers about why the restaurant listed hours that weren’t being honored.
The staff refused to give them a number and simply told them there was nothing they could do.
Now the question becomes…who’s really in the wrong here? The customers who drove out expecting service during posted hours? Or the staff who decided to close early and refused to provide any way to complain?
Was the couple justified in demanding answers after driving all that way, or were they acting entitled?
