@MikeTurner100 I’m really not arguing that. Of course anyone can have their say. But Esther Rantzen’s daughter is being given column space and headlines that no ordinary constituent would be offered, and she seems to expect Parliament to please her mother as an end in itself

Dame Esther Rantzen is a television celebrity. Her daughter works in broadcasting. Neither of them are or have been elected politicians. We make law in Parliament on informed scrutiny of proposed legislation, not on the wishes and exhortations of celebrities and their children
