Dear Lord,
We praise You for Your living and abiding Word that has the power to bring dead hearts to life through Your Spirit. We are sorry for the times we have treated Your truth like an ordinary book rather than the life-giving seed that it truly is. Our souls is grateful for the new birth You have given us and for the way Your Word continues to grow fruit in our lives. Context:
Peter is teaching Christians about the high calling of living a Holy life and loving one another deeply from a pure heart. He explains that their ability to show sincere love comes from the fact that their souls have been purified and they have been “born again.” This new life did not come from anything temporary, but it was sparked by the “imperishable seed” of the Word of God. Unlike the grass that withers or the flowers that fall, the Word of the Lord lives and stays forever. The Bible is the very tool God uses to bring us to life and to keep us growing in His grace. Because our new life is rooted in this eternal truth, we have a firm foundation that allows us to love others even when life is difficult.🙏🏼❤️
