Congratulations to Tammy Acton, a personal finance teacher at Smyrna High School, on being chosen by Tennessee Jump$tart as a recipient of the 2026 Excellence in Financial Education Educator of the Year award. Acton was selected based on “successful accomplishments in innovation/creativity related to teaching personal finance, instructional strategies, content and standards accomplishments, collaborations, and program results,” according to Tennessee Jump$tart’s announcement.   The award will be presented during the Tennessee Jump$tart Educators Conference next month in Gatlinburg, Tennessee.
