The problem: AMI-CS associated with significant morbidity & mortality w/o much change in >20 yrs NCSI is a single arm, multi-center study evaluating the feasibility & effectiveness of using early MCS w Impella in AMI-CS. Importantly we included large community programs!

Congratulations to Jacob Muller, and the entire DanGer Shock team on completing the 360 pt trial in CS. Challenging trial, that took 10 years and the whole MCS space has changed in that time, but important trial that along with ECLS-shock and Recover IV will shape this field

We honestly can get AMI-CS mortality to <10% in the next 10-20 yrs. This should be our generations goal. In the same way our contemporaries have for STEMI and AS/TAVR! 100% believe this is achievable!! We have a reliable way of treating AMI-CS #NCSI #shockprotocol #shockteam #mcs
