In the UK it says there’s over 50,000 knife crimes annually. Should I be terrified everyone owns a knife? Just don’t listen to the numbers and live life without stereotypes

Can’t fix stupid

I live in a state where you can conceal carry and if I’m going out somewhere, I might see one or two people the whole day with a firearm on their hip. Most people who do own them, keep them at home. It’s really not the Wild West out here like the media makes it seem. I can definitely understand the worry you have. Every country has places you don’t want to visit and when the media covers those exclusively to make sure they get paid(shock value=money, unfortunately), it looks like everyone is out there carrying guns and shooting each other. I promise you it’s not that and Americans want to go home to their families at night as well.
