@dreadfulsean @DestinLegarie Yeah I'm inclined to agree on the timed exclusives thing. From an Xbox perspective, I never expected to see Death Stranding, and I found out yesterday that Pacific Drive is now on Xbox, and I for sure thought that would be seen on Xbox

@DestinLegarie For me it was Forza. Once a Tentpole of Forza, Halo, Gears went it was game over for permanent exclusives on Xbox. If there is one its because its not worth porting. Timed exclusives will be what they hope pulls people into the ecosystem from now on.

Now that this has happened it’s not nearly as dramatic 😂 Once Indy happened I think most of us figured exclusives were over.

@majornelson Whilst I think the price increase for ultimate is crazy, so could put some current subscribers off, I do like the changes to core/essential

@DMC_Ryan That's crazy! I actually cancelled my game pass subs the other month, as it turned out I was buying the games I wanted to play on either Xbox or PS5. I don't get as much time to game as I used to, but monthly subs is certainly not the route for me anymore

@BendStudio It's a blast playing back through this again! Somehow the gameplay mechanics feel tighter than the first time I played it on PS4

@Murr_GSRR If you're on the lookout for another decent single player game, I can strongly recommend Banishers - ghosts of New Eden. It does get a little bit samey towards the end, but the story line, voice acting and gameplay mechanics are spot-on 🙂

@MikeyB_1969 It’s an interesting choice, but I fancied something a bit faster paced and potentially quicker to clear (although I have replayed mission 2 twice to actually find all evidence and arrest all perps 🤣) very different vibe to normal BF. Has a “True Crime” PS2 era vibe to it.

First of the year completed. #TheOuterWorlds. Wish I hadn’t slept on this for so long, very surprised how much I enjoyed this. One of the best looking games in terms of world and environments I’ve played.

@Murr_GSRR Nice! I know what you mean, sometimes you just need a break in-between the strong story driven single player games, which don't require a lot of thought 😁

@MikeyB_1969 @16bitnostalgia Been playing The Outer Worlds which is a nice length game without feeling it, if that makes sense? obsidian have made a 25 hr RPG which feels like it should be a 100hr RPG and I mean that is a positive way.

43 year old me right now. Plus I just can't choose a game and stick to it at the minute. In a proper gaming funk 😔

@Murr_GSRR @16bitnostalgia Totally agree re the length of a game now being a factor on whether I'll partake, or not. 20-25 hours is my preference for a decent story driven game

@16bitnostalgia I’m kinda intimidated by how long a game might take to finish now. Have FF7 Remake unopened and got Metaphor for Christmas which I asked for but don’t know when I’ll play 😭

@Murr_GSRR Now I fancy going back to play it again myself 😁 I can thoroughly recommend dying light 2. Up to a point it just felt like a more polished version of the first one, then you get past that point and it really opens the game up

@MikeyB_1969 Getting my first rifle from one of Rias men was also a game changer. Stocked that up with ammo every morning (after a night of XP boosting with double XP)

@MikeyB_1969 I haven’t yet. The Prison? I enjoyed it more as I progressed my skill trees / levels. The first few hours under skilled were pretty intimidating 😂

@Murr_GSRR It's a bold price for a discless console...but then I think, could I build a PC for £700 which could do 60fps at 4K and ray tracing, and I don't think I could 🤔
