New Orleans Pelicans have seemed to make an unforced error. They signed DeAndre Jordan to multiple years. They are unable to apply the 10-year veteran minimum subsidy. This is where they would be responsible $2,449,421 on the cap sheet and the NBA would bring Jordans salary up to $3.9M. Since this is only eligible on 1-year deals New Orleans is on the hook for the entire salary for both years.

(Radical offseason thought) Imagine a world where every lottery pick had to play one completely random Summer League game before they got drafted. How different would the lottery look? Would Darryn Peterson go number 1? How high would Caleb Wilson climb? Is Keaton Wagler still top-five? Where does Aday Mara go? How about Cameron Carr? Does the random team they land on actively try and move up in the draft because of how they look alongside other young prospects they have at Summer League? It would throw chaos into the NBA front offices. The drama.

I keep seeing Tyler Nickel comparisons & some of these takes are just lazy. I don’t see Duncan Robinson. I don’t see Max Strus. I def don’t see Kevin Love. From what I’ve seen so far Tyler looks more like a shooter who moves to get his shots instead of just standing in the corner waiting for catch & shoot opportunities. If I’m making comparisons his ceiling is somewhere around Klay Thompson with Dean Wade as another possible comp because of the defensive upside. Somewhere in the middle I could see J.J. Redick & on the lower end maybe Jason Kapono. It’s still way too early but I think people are comparing him to the wrong type of player. He doesn’t look like a stationary shooter to me.. he looks like someone who actively works to create quality looks & could give you something defensively too..

I’m not saying he shouldn’t be upset but punching someone is a line that gets crossed that’s beyond just being upset imo. Nobody knows the entire details, he’s entitled to feel however he feels. I’ve had fights with my closest friends who I consider brothers everybody has, but it’s never come close to punching either way.
