Liked this from Griezmann. Reporter says: “You’ve got the measure of Barcelona”. Griezmann says: “Well, we lost the second leg of the cup and the second leg tonight, so ‘got the measure of’…I don’t know about that.”

🤩 Another huge night in the Champions League on Wednesday! ⚽️ Our European football expert The Ultra previews 👇 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 ARSENAL V SPORTING LISBON 🇵🇹 8pm Another massive night of Champions League action on Wednesday as we continue the Quarter-Final second legs on Betdaq! We kick off the evening at the Emirates as Arsenal host Sporting Lisbon. Most of the talk heading into this fixture will be around Arsenal losing to Bournemouth at the weekend and opening the door for Manchester City in the Premier League title race. Arsenal have now lost three of their last four games in all competitions, and Mikel Arteta admitted it was "a big punch to the face." Kai Havertz's stoppage time winner in Lisbon last Tuesday was a much-needed tonic after back-to-back cup defeats - the Carabao Cup final loss to Manchester City and the extraordinary FA Cup exit at the hands of Southampton. The first leg between these two was exceptionally boring, so it wouldn’t be a surprise to see everyone tune into Bayern Munich v Real Madrid here! It was classic Arsenal though; very boring but got the job done. I would have said that they might be a bit more adventurous with home advantage, but they have a lead to protect now and as we have seen countless times before – Arteta is quite negative. This is the start of a huge week for Arsenal – obviously a chance at the Champions League Semi-Finals here, and then they are away to Manchester City at the weekend and we all know how massive that is now. Given the gulf in class between the domestic leagues and Arsenal with home advantage, it’s no surprise to see Arteta’s men come into this game as the odds on favourites. Also you would have thought that Sporting would have needed to take a lead into this game. Arsenal are trading 1.51 with Sporting Lisbon 7.6 and the draw is 4.7 at the time of writing. The pressure on Arsenal is immense. One wonders what the feeling inside the stadium will be like here; especially if Sporting can score early. Their average xG conceded of just 0.92 is comfortably the best defensive figure in the Premier League, but they were so poor in attack at the weekend. Their xG in open play against Bournemouth was a dreadful 0.19. I wouldn’t be rushing to take the 1.51 on Arsenal here, especially what they’re going through at the moment – indeed, if anything it looks a bit short. A cagey, tight first half seems likely as Arsenal look to protect their lead, but once Sporting are forced to push, it could open up. It’s hard to have a strong opinion on the goals market too with that in mind – I feel the best option here is a small Arsenal lay. The Ultra Says: One point lay (liability) Arsenal to beat Sporting Lisbon at 1.51 with Betdaq Exchange. 🇩🇪 BAYERN MUNICH V REAL MADRID 🇪🇸 8pm We move over to Germany to finish Wednesday night as Bayern Munich host Real Madrid. This is the glamour tie of the round, and obviously it has plenty of drama too given the situation at Real! They dropped more points at the weekend in La Liga – they are now nine points behind Barcelona in the title race. Bayern Munich will be looking to finish the job after their superb 2-1 first leg win at the Bernabeu. Bayern were simply majestic in Madrid, but Real were all over the place at the back at times. Harry Kane, returning from injury, scored a stunning goal as well. Mbappe pulled one back late to give Real a lifeline, and that is the hope that they will be bringing into this game. Obviously they are up against things away now, but we all know Real are superb when their backs are against the wall. Nevertheless, Bayern come into the game as the odds on favourites at 1.62 with Real Madrid 4.7 and the draw is 5.6 at the time of writing. Real have to produce something crazy here; their domestic results have been a shambles. The 2-1 loss at relegation threatened Mallorca, and then the 1-1 draw at the Bernabeu by mid-table Girona either side of this first leg tie. Bayern have been bossing the Bundesliga this season, but that’s no surprise given Bayer Leverkusen sold all their big stars and Xabi Alonso moved on – he’s already been moved on for Real with player power winning there! Bayern have an average xG created of 2.31 is by some distance the best attacking figure in the entire Bundesliga. Real have an average xG created of 2.10 which is the second best attacking figure in La Liga behind Barcelona. Bayern’s average xG conceded of 1.05 is also the best defensive figure in the Bundesliga, and Real have a figure of 1.12 which is the second best in La Liga, again behind Barcelona. Obviously we have two top class sides here, but Real are clearly struggling at the moment – they are coming to one of the most difficult places in Europe too. Bayern have been absolutely firing, and if anything I would have the home win shorter than 1.62. The atmosphere inside the Bernabeu has been toxic in recent weeks. Fans have been booing their own players, with Vinicius Junior and Jude Bellingham particularly singled out. Chants of 'Florentino Perez resign' have been heard. Maybe it might be better that Real are away here, but I still feel the 1.62 on Bayern looks nice value and it’s a confident bet for me. The Ultra Says: Three points win Bayern Munich to beat Real Madrid at 1.62 with Betdaq Exchange.

What fantastic news from Hungary. Proof that if you stand up to it right wing kleptocratic populist authoritarianism can be beaten. Orban will now flee somewhere with his wealth. But this is more than a bad night for him. It is a bad night for Putin who as in Moldova spent a fortune trying to rig it. It is a bad night for Trump. It is a bad night for Vance and Rubio who believed that their mere presence in Budapest would swing the vote Orban’s way. They helped Magyar! . It is a bad night for Farage the AfD and Le Pen because it shows that when their brand of politics is exposed to serious opposition and scrutiny it collapses. Magyar is far from the perfect leader but my God he deserves all the congratulations coming his way for ousting Orban and showing how it can be done. He now has the tough job of dismantling the corrupt systems and bodies installed over 16 years. The people of Hungary deserve our thanks for showing these people can be beaten. And Zelensky now deserves far greater support from Europe.

Remember the following next time someone tells you @LaLiga is behind. @LaLigaEN just showed us its 24/25 numbers. A record €5.464 billion in total revenue. A record 17.4 million fans in grounds. €70 million profit before tax. Squad costs held at 70% of income. A league that lives within its means, but also one that is growing as well. Here’s what really doesn’t get said enough, although it might not be fully surprising. #LaLiga leads Europe in academy player market value. €1.46 billion. Ahead of the #PremierLeague. Those players represent 26.6% of LaLiga’s total market value. In England? 9.7%. LaLiga academy players play nearly 20% of all minutes in the league. In England, 13.5%. This is a league that develops talent, trusts it, and builds on it. 91% of those academy players are Spanish. The Premier League is a financial phenomenon. Of course it is, no one is pretending otherwise. But it spends more than double what it earns. Has been doing so for seven years. That should be worrying. A league that turns a profit, fills its stadiums, and leads Europe in growing its own? It sounds to me like it is a good way to run football. Things to improve: refereeing, VAR, the behaviour of fans (LaLiga has been fighting racism and discrimination, but even more has to be done), the departure of talent, more women involved in decision making at all levels.
