I think they would, 100%. The question becomes how much would they be willing to pay. Grizzlies were bought for $377 million in 2012. Whoever decides to buy would likely come in with a $1billion+ offer to buy and move. Its possible they stay, but i dont see that with the current state of the team and the city itself.

Not being an ass. Just logical. Attendance has been down for years. They either dont make the playoffs or only make the first to second round. Sure, they will play there next season and maybe the 3-5 seasons after that, but Adam Silver didn’t slide that nugget about playing games in Nashville unconsciously. It has 100% been discussed.

I do understand the clause that they have as I am from Memphis. They may have first right of refusal, but if they cannot match the offer on the table for the move, then the team goes. Also, attendance has tanked at Grizzly games for years now due to lack of star power and average play.

@MikeyTheMP @PardonMyTake Everyone forgets a couple things about a Grizzlies sale or move: When Pera bought the team, there was a clause in the agreement that allows a local ownership group to have first right of refusal if Pera ever wants to sell or move the team. They aren't going anywhere

@_kennythoughts It was a bad show by Wrestlemania standards. Short matches, too much celebrity involvement, too many ads, and no truly memorable moments. It felt like a B-show, not a spectacle. Night 2 has the true Wrestlemania feel to it on paper.

Mania weekend is one of those weekends I think I have it out with the IWC the most. Perception is reality. I think if you go into an event expecting it to suck? It’ll be just that. My core group of friends liked Night 1 of WrestleMania! To the point where we were asking if the IWC even saw the same event we did. Doesn’t have to mean we feel it was a 5 star event. But it damn sure wasn’t as bad as some of the comments I’ve seen. Mainly the main event. I feel so many are just like “ah I hated that” as opposed to me who’s more curious about what it all meant. To me? It was kind of obvious somewhere along the way that Orton flipped to working baby and Cody was working as a heel. But seemingly the end they kind of switched back? Mainly? Whether it’s WrestleMania, ALL IN, Wrestle Kingdom? I think sometimes it’s just nice to not have to be critical and enjoy the spectacle.

This whole narrative of buying subscriptions being too much is overblown. Just about everybody either has these platforms already or they know someone else paying for it and they just share the account. Also, if you’re simply using these platforms to watch wrestling, then you’re wasting your money anyway.

Pause. Fans now pay for Netflix, Peacock (SNME), cable (USA Network), and ESPN+ just to follow WWE. That’s a lot when wallets are already stretched. Wanting a strong build and a fun PLE isn’t asking much. This WM felt rushed (not on the talent) and overloaded with ads. Watching live in the venue vs at home hits differently, and it’s fair to call that out.
