Nottingham Forest is proud to launch ‘Magic Moments’, a powerful community initiative spearheaded by Club owner Evangelos Marinakis which will see 30 tickets for every home fixture during the 2025/26 season donated to children and young people most in need within Nottinghamshire.
Reflecting Forest’s deep-rooted commitment to supporting the local community, ‘Magic Moments’ will open the doors of the City Ground to those who may not ordinarily be able to experience the excitement of a matchday – including those who are living with long-term illness, underprivileged, at risk or otherwise vulnerable.
In addition to attending home matches, each group will receive exclusive behind-the-scenes matchday access. From walking through the iconic tunnel to meeting players and staff and receiving their very own Forest shirt, ‘Magic Moments’ is designed to provide an unforgettable day of joy, comfort and inspiration during some of life’s most challenging circumstances.
Local charities, youth groups and organisations working with children and young people in Nottinghamshire will be invited to be part of the initiative throughout the season.
To celebrate the launch of ‘Magic Moments’, 50 youngsters have been invited to Forest’s Premier League season opener against Brentford on Sunday. The groups include teenagers and young adults from Teenage Cancer Trust, as well as Switch Up – a Nottingham-based charity whose mission is to steer young people away from crime and gang involvement through mentorship, positive activity and long-term support.
As part of the initiative, Forest will continue to set aside 10 tickets on each home matchday for Warriors United, a club for children and young adults with learning disabilities.
Under Evangelos Marinakis’ leadership, the Club has increasingly focused on making a meaningful difference in the lives of people across the region. From supporting food banks and healthcare services to working alongside grassroots projects and educational causes, the Club has regularly used its platform to uplift, support and connect.
In recent months, this has included donating 2,000 club kits to schoolchildren across Nottinghamshire, partnering with Linden Lodge and Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust to aid supporters’ rehabilitation, and welcoming Club legends Frank Wignall and Peter Grummitt back to the City Ground to mark Dementia Action Week.
Nottingham Forest Owner Evangelos Marinakis said: “This initiative is about more than football. It’s about giving back, providing unforgettable moments and ensuring that our Club continues to stand proudly at the heart of the Nottinghamshire community as a force for good. We know that one special day can have a lasting, meaningful impact, and we want to create special memories for those who need them most – moments of hope, happiness and magic. We are on a special journey as a Club, and we want to ensure as many people as possible have the opportunity to join us.”
