Under a New Sky is the 3rd release in the Rise & Fall. In the next release, Putting Down Roots, they will shape the environment met fit their needs. Basically, they will do this: youtu.be/IDgDWbQtlKI Now I need to figure out how to do generative foliage.

There's no way you could possibly mix RTS with Hack'n'Slash. Dinolords: Hold my beer.

I have been having tons of fun this week squashing bugs for @ona_hq's new TODO grouping. It was fun because I had built a couple of supporting tools to help me navigate through state changes & replay real conversations. I'm trying something new, so here's a 📺 about it

What do you tell your kids you do for work? Mine used to get “I draw stuff on the computer.” Now it’s “I make video games” and that seems like an easier sell.

If I'm reading the documentation correctly, it looks like we just lost unique shapes in macOS app icons. Any irregular shape will autoscale into the new roundrect icon shape with a border around it. Many app icons will have to be remade. #WWDC25

Just claimed my $FXH. Not just a token — a new protocol where art and currency become one. The evolution begins @fx_hash_

[why coins for gen art ?] (1/N) A safer coin-investment vehicle to onboard new audiences to gen art. The thesis with artcoins is the following: by proposing a simple yet serious investment vehicle in art in the form of coins, we can offer coin traders a safer, more tangible and robust ecosystem for their coins investments, compared to what's currently available. It's a win-win for both our ecosystems essentially. Coins are tied to gen art projects (built-in utility), created by artists who have an online presence, career, vision. It's not just 1 jpeg + 1 description attached to a ERC20 token. or to an AI agent with unknown prospects. Compared to the existing coin landscape, it has major advantages! - pumpfun: anonymous creator, just a meme, high volatility, no utility, lots of scams... etc. It's not safe. - zora content coins: often known creator, better than pumpfun, but other issues: short-lived coins mostly, no supply relationship with the coin, final state once coin is released - virtuals: mostly anonymous creators, with some interesting investment prospects: AI agents can unlock powerful use-cases. However, for the most part its very hard to evaluate the potential. Artcoins solve a lot of these issues, especially tied to gen art: - coin supply tied to gen art supply, as nfts are minted the coin supply reduces, increasing coin scarcity - created by a known figure, with a big online presence - built-in art utility, ever-evolving based on interactions with the art - can be tied to multiple projects, potentially expanding initial reach over time - much easier to evaluate In the weeks following the launch of the artcoin protocol, we'll focus a lot of our marketing efforts towards this crowd so that they can know this option now exists.

[wip] still not quite there with the rendering, but the technical foundations are done: I have some cells and their borders, which is not quite easy also sorry for the flashy pink I still need to work on the coloring 🫥

@crayonpep @XCOPYART @artnome @fx_hash_ Hey! You put in large numbers in the image scale width and height fields. These are the pixel width and height the final image will get. You then click 'Generate Image' and wait patiently. It could take a while if the dimensions are large. Once done you right-click-save.

Questionable weather by @Mikkel_Hartmann was all the rage when it came out in 21. Collected multiple times by @XCOPYART and @artnome it is a real early @fx_hash_ classic. I still love it. I couldn’t afford it then. But I can now.

First sponsor test: ✅ Dan from Realmac — maker of Clear, RapidWeaver, and Elements — spent $499 to sponsor my newsletter (40k+ designers). 🔵 244 clicks 🟣 219 visitors ⏱️ ~1 min avg. time on site 💸 ~$2 CPC Most newsletter sponsorships see CTRs between 1–3% and CPCs between $2–5. This landed right in the sweet spot — but with the bonus of a highly targeted, creative audience who actually stuck around. I’m happy with how this performed, so I’m keeping the price at $499 for now. If you’re building something cool for designers, you might want to sponsor too. 👋

I've been having a lot of fun with the #vibejam. Right now I really struggle with getting the ground. I can't get the physics body to align with the visual body. I'm trying to create a height modulated terrain, but i'm pretty stuck on this.

@flarup Right, so when the game comes out I'll have to destroy every single building just to see what you guys meticulously put inside. I'll feel bad about it, but it has to be done.
