To mark the 50th anniversary of Watership Down @IslingtonMayor unveiled an @IslingtonBC heritage plaque to Richard Adams at his old home in Mildmay. We were joined by his daughters Juliet and Ros, @whatSFSaid, @jeremycorbyn and Y5 @NGpupils🐰for a great afternoon

New art in Newington Green!! @stewysstencils of the radical Richard Price ahead the 300th anniversary of his birth. Price lived in NG (opposite the stencil) and ministered @NGMeetingHouse. He mentored Wollstonecraft @maryonthegreen and countless other activists and thinkers.

It’s all there: grassroots activism, race relations, poverty, adventure playgrounds, the need for prisoners to have constructive activity, the Barnsbury-Cally contrast. This area is now the Westbourne Estate. In 1970 the Tories ran Islington Council. Labour won it back in 1971.
