@jewishbroke CO does. You have to be a state resident, make a request to an MD, be evaluated by a second MD >2weeks later, referred to psych if there's a question of mental illness, terminal diagnosis, must be able to self administer drugs. I think >18yrs old as well.

@metoprolawl I've been floor and ER. It works, except when it doesn't. I will still call if I think there are things that need to be communicated that are not charted (like, this patient is a huge dick or they're technically AO4 but squirrelly AF)

Also when we don’t have space and EMS has non-waiting room appropriate pts…we’re holding up ambulances from getting back to where they’re needed. So many lives depend on us getting our patients in and out as quickly as possible so please be kind and just take report.

It's a stunning example of the power of public health to eradicate illness. I imagine you must be cheering for EUAs for the RSV vaccine to facilitate rapid herd immunity.

@MileHighBecky @ColoradoNana6 @heidiganahl @GovofCO My argument is ALL children had less interaction in school, home, sports, extracurricular activities thus the herd wasn’t exposed to much and don’t have much of an immunity against viruses they normally would. Have you heard how smallpox killed the indigenous peoples?

@nu_skewl Your 'what about-ism' is perplexing. This is an example of astonishing negligence by a chiro (and admittedly, in the ER, my sample skews dramatically toward worst case scenarios). To say, 'well what about meteors? Or opioids? Or fried chicken?' Uh, that's not really relevant.

@saltywidowrn Pfft. The ER. Just put one patient with tangled lines in the center of an arena and all the ICU nurses will come running with colored tape while we pick them off 1 by 1 with B52s and ketamine. :P Mad love to the ICU tho.
