The cancelation was because not enough students registered (this was a decision that was made by the dean). Tell me how not to be upset knowing that I won't be paid for all the hours I set up towards this course and the prepping?

I am somewhat upset that I set up an entire course for the summer just for the dean to cancel it a couple of days before the quarter started. I am trying to find the silver lining as it is at a community college, but I am more frustrated and don't want toxic optimism. -_-
