🚨OH MY GOD!!! A 26-year-old man SHOT AND KILLED his high school sweetheart wife inside their Pennsylvania home… then called his parents, CONFESSED, and threatened to take his own life. Less than TWO YEARS after they got married. Police later found HIS BODY in the nearby woods after using thermal drones to track him down. THIS IS ABSOLUTELY SICKENING!!!

One thing I didn't mention in the article is how hard it is to "hustle" when you are in deep poverty. Credit cards and loans are out of reach. Transportation, housing, and bare necessities collapse. I'm living this right now. With zero cushion, nest egg, and you can't find work, despite desperately seeking it out, it's incredibly depressing and honestly frightening. I've been living in this cycle for a year. Being on the cusp of your family losing housing, your vehicle (where it would be even harder to find work), feels like an impossible purgatory. You scream into what feels like a void, "Somebody hire me, please!"

Recent reporting: 24.7% of Americans are “functionally unemployed.” I've applied to 3900 hundred jobs in 24 months, not one job offer. I'm not alone. Millions are facing this. It's not a personal failure. It's designed this way. My latest piece: bullhornbulletin.com

You might've heard by now that Trump's war on Iran has pushed some troops to leave the military. My latest for @truthout covers this, and the longer history of wars abroad causing troops to question their role. truthout.org/articles/trump…

I'm mortified to have to ask this again because I've been in this situation not too long ago, and had to ask for help. I’m short $650 and need it by tomorrow to stop my car from being repossessed. I’ve applied for credit, called local resources like churches and organizations, and tried everything I can on my end to find work, every single day. I’m out of options. If 33 people give $20, I can get there and make sure I have transportation for when I find work (hopefully sooner than later), and to take care of my kiddo. I have rent that's now behind too, but I'm trying to tackle this car issue as well. The irony, I'm only a few months from the loan being done. Five years of paying on this, and now I might lose it, and my transportation in a rural area. Just enough to float this month, and god willing I get hired somewhere. If my activism through the years, or my reporting at Bullhorn Bulletin, has meant something to you, or you just have been here before too, but can help, even a little bit, it would mean the world right now. Or give directly at: Paypal: paypal.me/ZeynabDay Cashapp: $ZeynabDay Venmo: @ZeynabDay If you can’t donate, sharing helps a lot.

A 46-year-old man died working in an Amazon warehouse in Oregon. And workers were told to ignore the body and just keep working. This is why people are burning shit down. The system doesn’t care whether we live or die. The only thing it cares about is exploiting us for profit.

“All you had to do was pay us enough to live” has become the working class’ new rallying cry. The time is now to fight for a new economy where wealth is distributed to workers instead of rich shareholders who never work a day in the factories, stores, shipyards, and warehouses.

All these dumbass comments focus on the fact that I used the minimum wage as the reference. These expanding gas prices will have an impact on most people, even those who make the median wage. A worker making $15 an hour will still be impacted by higher groceries, higher prices in commodities, etc. Businesses will be impacted. Yet, here you are, focused on the minimum wage number, and gaslighting us as if this isn't a problem. Likely to bootlick this current administration. When the problem is much broader.
Zeynab Day@ZeynabDay

If you made the $7.25 minimum wage in Tennessee, you'd have to work 9 hours to pay for a 15-gallon tank of gas. A full day's work. In a state where most people have to commute by automobile to get to work, sometimes over longer distances. This is repeated across the country.

On June 25, Anasse Kazib, a labor movement leader in France, will be on trial for social media posts expressing solidarity with Palestine. This is part of a broader crackdown on Palestine solidarity in France. From the U.S. it's vital we expose and denounce this repression!
Anasse Kazib@AnasseKazib

Destruction of property is not violence. Dying bc you’ve been denied basic necessities like housing or healthcare is violence. Capitalism can’t exist without violence.
