An article by Okay Deprem titled “The Ban on Induced Abortion Is Now Also on Armenia’s Agenda” was published on the news website Cgtnturk.com and subsequently on OdaTV. The article contains demonstrably false, unsubstantiated, and misleading assertions.

Any legislative initiative is subject to public consultation, and public awareness is ensured in advance of any proposed legal changes.

We officially state that no amendments to the current regulations on induced abortion, nor any initiative to impose a ban, are envisaged under the Law on Reproductive Health and Reproductive Rights.

A memorandum of understanding was signed between @WigmoreGroup and @CareForKids to advance women’s and children’s healthcare in Armenia through enhanced collaboration, continued nursing education, strengthened quality systems, and nationwide training programs.
