One thing that’s hard to ignore in our macro reads at Shapes Ventures, and something we’ve been flagging in different ways via @theformsfund , is where capital is choosing to hide right now. Gold and silver are putting up serious numbers. That’s usually a pretty clean signal. It tells me investors aren’t eager to bet on risk assets at the moment. And that bucket includes $BTC, let alone alts or any real talk of altseason. When metals lead and risk lags, it’s less about conviction and more about caution. Rotation back into risk tends to come later, not first.

$BTC This range has been farming impatient traders for weeks. Every small push up gets treated like the breakout is here. Every small flush gets treated like the breakdown has started. So people keep piling into longs too early.. Then piling into shorts too early. That is what makes sideways ranges so punishing. Not because they’re impossible to read, but because they keep baiting people into acting too early. Positioning keeps getting loaded aggressively on weak price action, and the market keeps hunting it. In this environment, the market is rewarding whoever can do nothing the longest. ⌛️

$BTC: It could be that the price works on a larger ABC correction in yellow wave-2. Ideal target is the 100% Fib extension level at $73,464. As long as the price remains below $75,967, my preference is the yellow short term bearish scenario.

$BTC I still think we go to at least 65k The only way I get long is a sweep + reclaim of 65k. Lose 65k, and I think we are going to goblin town. Altcoins look like they are being used for exit liquidity. Positive news barely moves price...

$BTC has 2 decent liquidity clusters right now. On the upside, there's a short liquidity cluster above the $72,000 level. On the downside, there's a long liquidity cluster below the $69,000 level. IMO, a sweep of upside liquidity before a correction could happen.

The short-term holders of #Bitcoin are in massive losses, a phenomenon called 'Capitulation'. One of the most interesting metrics is that it mimics current market sentiment quite well. The recent crash on #Bitcoin has had a similar impact to the COVID crash in 2020 or the drop in July '22 after the Luna Crash. How does this happen? The standard fallacy of believing that the low is in and the markets turn against you. During the correction to $80K, I think most investors expected #Bitcoin to quickly rebound, and therefore bought a lot of Bitcoin in that dip. That's why the recent crash led to massive liquidations in futures, too. It resonates with the sentiment, as I haven't seen it be as bad as it is during the current period. Ever. Historically, this has proven to be a great time to buy assets, as markets are always higher 12 months after such a capitulation event.

$NEAR looks really good still. It's lagging a bit behind the other ai coins like FET and NEAR the last few days but still a solid looking chart. I'm just interested in AI coins rn.
