@craignickel @PGCbasketball I disagree.It’s more productive to have each athlete determine their unique meaning of mental toughness and how it guides their behaviour. General rants like this can cause athletes to tune out or perceive that something is wrong with them if they see MT differently.

Invasive data collection is also unethical. Athletes are never asked to consent to providing this info. They are mostly forced to comply with the demands of the sport organization.

Sometimes I get asked who is the athlete I would like to meet the most. @shaunwhite is the guy. His amazing skill in both skateboarding and snowboarding and his mental approach are so impressive. I love hearing his thoughts. Can’t wait to see his next chapter!
