Mine Blocks 2 0.8.1 is out now! 🍄 - Fixed the cobblestone smelt recipe - Improved creative mode speed - Most importantly, fixed all known crashes! ✨ The HTML5 version of Mine Blocks 2 already was played more times than the old one got this whole year. :D It's good to be back!

So I applied JPEG compression to my entire game in real-time. Just to experience it! I've felt oddly compelled to code this into my game engine for a while, and 2 years ago @ompuco's work inspired me to finally make it happen. (The @Mine_Blocks2 HTML5 port is 68% complete!)

Directional sunlight is a must-have! I can't get over how it lights up caves. I've been porting my Flash game @Mine_Blocks2 to HTML5. Btw that image on the left shows how the lighting buffer gets chunked and drawn to the cache.

Oh hi! Mine Blocks 2 will be getting an engine replacement surgery soon. Doctor's orders. It's the simple process of completely remaking the entire game :D Eeeeasy!

I was a bit too mysterious about the old development of multiplayer in #MineBlocks2... So here's footage of an early multiplayer test from February 2013! Later that year, after adding lighting and infinite worlds, I did real tests with friends (I only have screenshots of that).
