The City pays contractors up to R16 000 per security guard while workers survive on under R5000 with no Benefits. In my tenure, I ended the exploitation by insourcing 1,879 cleaners & 4,185 security guards. Given the mandate again, I will insource more workers.

Insourcing was never about politics or taking credit. It was about restoring dignity to Security Guards and Cleaners who work hard to provide for their families while tenderpreneurs pocket millions. Upon my return, Insourcing will be a priority again. Abasebenzi deserve better!!
