The connecting of curriculum subjects within education home & in school. Parents, teachers, pupils understand we are living in a connected world. Geography and Geology, but they literally interact with every other subject! minimapmakers.com/geography-page

@_MissieBee The progress of students in our school is considered good so it has not disadvantaged any students. However curriculum design is key to its success

@_MissieBee I think there are so many variables you need to be careful and it is all about your setting. We teach mixed ability KS3 but our students are mainly middle ability. We are also extremely lucky to have a fully experienced department who can teach any ability.

@robertkaplinsky @demitassefull Teaching the area model is all about linking to algebraic principles and beyond. It is not all about multiplying numbers. It also links to early years understanding of multiplication using arrays. We are not reinventing things the area model has been around for years.

I love how effectively James Tanton takes down five of the most common objections to using the area model to conceptually teach multiplication. Check out his 9-minute video where he helps make sense of the madness. youtube.com/watch?v=Sfi4QU…

This new resource highlights, at a granular level, how frequently different topics appear in exam questions across AQA, Pearson, Cambridge OCR, Eduqas and CCEA. Drop a comment below if you'd like a tutorial on how to create a revision worksheet on these high hitting topics 👇
Dr Frost@DrFrostMaths

Awesome GCSE resource alert! We've done some database magic🪄to get the distribution of exam questions in each spec (AQA, Edexcel, OCR, Eduqas) by granular skill. For Edexcel this covers the last 24 years of papers! Check it out: docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d…

✨NEW Worksheet!✨ This worksheet is 1 of 2 to be released on expanding and simplifying multiple single brackets. This particular sheet contains no 'double negatives' that students can encounter when solving these problems. bright-maths.co.uk/algebra

Cover Lessons should be easy for someone else to set for you. I’m fed up of hearing horrific stories of teachers in hospital emailing in work. I’m on a mission and would love your feedback on these KS4 Unit cover / revision lessons. Video to accompany. hannahkettlemaths.co.uk/cover
