Jason Schreier has confirmed once again Sony is done porting single player games to pc. This means:
- No steam version
- No epic version
- No Playstation launcher that the games are ported to
(* No ports to any pc store)
Sony wants exclusives back to the PlayStation brand!

I played Death Stranding 1 on PS5, but am playing DS2 on PC.
Its a little thing, but its pretty damn awesome that whilst I am continuing the adventure on another platform, I'm still getting PlayStation trophies.
Feels like I'm properly continuing where I left off on console.

he's been doing it himself for years but it's probably cheaper to relay it to a specialized porting studio like nixxes

@Miyazma_ @GamesRadar Not necessarily. Technically speaking Sony doesn't own Kojima Productions, and Kojima Productions also fully acquired the Death Stranding IP in 2024 so unless Kojima *wants* to make it exclusive, these games can always be ported.

With Switch 2 versions of 3rd party games now releasing on par with other platforms, Nintendo really need to develop a universal achievement system tied to your Nintendo account. It’s really the deciding factor for some gamers on which platform they decide to get the game.

@Parker_Air @plushiecore probably just using zedd's statements about ai and his intel collab (which did use gen ai) as a source for the actual album art. the artist behind the album and single artwork tho at least claims it was all hand drawn and pieced together.

@AshenOne this is the case for most games. steam by default releases games globally at one time, whereas console storefronts typically launch at midnight in each region. i think publishers could change this for one or the other, but rarely do.
