my TCG hot take is every single TCG other than Pokemon is a bust and will either not be around or not be relevant in 5-10 years from now, that includes one piece, magic the gathering (already happened) etc

I should be more explicit about this. The reason Rhystic is such a problem is that I genuinely think 5 hours isn’t an unrealistic expectation for the additional time required to complete a tournament with 5 rounds+top 16 because of Rhystic.

@Ryan_on_cEDH @FreedomWaffle_ But I do think Sam's recent writings have initiated a huge shift in the zeitgeist. It feels like rhystic *will* be banned eventually. But I don't think it ruins casual the way it ruins cEDH. Which would mean the CFP does now ban based on competitive. Maybe a banned in B5?

Rebell is a friend im down for rhystic to be banned, it's just that, historically, the B&R of EDH is not curated for cEDH. it seems disingenuous to slight the CFP for not taking action on something they normally never would. 1/

Rhystic Study exhaustion is why I took a break from this format. Rhystic Study exhaustion is why I burnt out after coming back. There is no worse play pattern I’ve experienced in any competitive game. Defenders of Rhystic Study in the format have no clue what they’re talking about. The only reason it’s not banned is the Commander Format Panel doesn’t want to ban an expensive card.

@MirageHat @JTimestamp Yeah, sometimes it's just like that. Some cards even only have chance at a 1/1 autograph + the usual parallels, and Topps still charges the upper tier pricing for those cards. And yes, no SP of Alysa Liu I've seen, at least none on eBay so far.

@okumeister22 @JTimestamp Damn that's brutal. Parallel /50, /25, /10, /5, /1 plus autos /5, and /1, means only 97 numbered cards from 22,000+ ordered. Feel bad. And the SP has barely been seen at all?

@JTimestamp She only signed 6 of these (the /5s and 1/1), and one of the /5 sold for $3k. That doesn't mean whatever hits the market later won't be cheaper, but it's limited enough that I think the value will either be maintained or even become higher.
