It's official! I've been a little quiet lately, but I'm so grateful to share that I'm a doctor! A huge thanks to my amazing advisor and committee Anna Shternshis @shternsh, Naomi Seidman, and Allison Schachter. Now, I'm off to Dartmouth College as a Mellon Postdoctoral Fellow!

Had so much fun promoting Yiddish at U of T Global Languages Initiative's fair with Miriam Borden (#TheMiriams). Miriam made this beautiful flag for the event! @UofTGerman @CJSUofT

Hi @porterairlines. When you cancel someone's return flight, how about sending an email, or a text? And how can you change a direct flight to a flight with a connection without taking any responsibility for how challenging it is for new parents traveling for the first time?
Ido_Moses@moses_ido

Hi @porterairlines. Just found out by chance our flight was canceled and that we and our 7-mo baby are being flown with a connection, and a 2 hour flight will best case become 5 hours long. Thanks for ruining our first flight experience with a baby. 1 hour and I'm still on hold.

Thank you @NYPL_DorotJWS for the opportunity to share a little bit about my current project. I had the best research trip to the NYPL Dorot Jewish Division! The staff was welcoming and so very helpful. Can't wait to come back!

We are pleased to present our annual list of translations from Yiddish into other languages. How exciting that such a wealth of Yiddish literature in translation was published in 2022! ingeveb.org/blog/the-lates…

@a_a_viswanath @SamuelSpinner My Romanian side also serves totsh/totch! But I believe traditionally there is a difference between totsh and a kugel - the totch has yeast in the mix, and potato kugel doesn't

Yiddish questions put to me recently by young acquaintances: Q: How do you say kugel in Yiddish? A: Kigel. Q: How do you say shul in Yiddish? A: Shil.
