@waluis_z @LegendaViventum @joshscorcher See, that I understand WAY more. I've had to take steps back from friendships to recollect my emotions before, and then return later on because I what I had with them did mean something to me. If a friendship was truly meaningful, it can survive.

@MirthMouser @LegendaViventum @joshscorcher I was really in love with a girl, but it hurt like crazy to not be reciprocate. So I distance myself from her for a couple of months. Then I contact her again because I really valued her as a friend, but I really needed that time to get over it, I believe it's the same for many.

Some people do treat friendship as just a path to romance. That fear is understandable. But romantic feelings developing between friends don't mean the friendship was fake. Sometimes they arise naturally because the friendship was real. My wife and I were friends first. I suspected she liked me more than a friend, so I took time to seriously consider whether our values and futures aligned. Eventually, I asked her directly. She admitted that she'd made excuses to spend more time with me and went outside her comfort zone to grow closer to me. She was honest about it and terrified that I would reject her because of it. I didn’t treat her feelings as proof that our friendship was a lie. I simply said, “Okay. I’d like to give us a shot.” Two years later, I married my best friend. Someone hoping a friendship could become something more doesn't necessarily mean the friendship was fake. Sure, romantic love is very capable of ruining a friendship and a good friendship is terrifying to lose. But friendship is not always ruined by romantic love. Sometimes it becomes the foundation for it.

@LegendaViventum @joshscorcher Friendships are the kind of human relationship I value the most. I can't imagine being truly close and connected with a friend, and dropping them because what I wanted mattered more then what I had. That seems so shallow.

@MirthMouser @joshscorcher It would only seem that way to those that have a myopic and self-centered view of virtue and friendship. The guy is hurting and he's just supposed to maintain the original status quo like nothing happened just to keep her comfortable? Nah. Cutting her off is justified.

@LegendaViventum @joshscorcher I dunno, that exact scenerio really makes it seem this guy in question never valued the friendship as a friendship. It's precisely what I was describing.

@MirthMouser @joshscorcher The issue is, if one party develops unrequited feelings for the other party, usually the guy, then he shouldn't be branded as a bad guy or "fake friend" for walking away for his own sake. Not everyone wants to stay friends after getting rejected. And that's okay.

@joshscorcher Some people don't value that men and women can be friends, and are just waiting for the clouds to part so they can "get the girl" so to speak. I think that's what it comes to; if someone believes you can be friends without a guarantee for 'more', then the friendship is real.

@joshscorcher Gosh, it really does depend. I truly believe a genuinely friendship sets a strong foundation to a romantic relationship. Your partner should also be your best friend. But I also know there are some people who break friendships over not having their romantic feelings returned.

@cartoonshi So your argument is, "Well, it's already broken anyway."

Already replied to this but while these are valid points, they totally ignore how insanely easy it was to recover SP in Persona 4 anyway. -SP items are farmable -The Fox is broken -Rise -A ton of SP items are buyable and growable Revival makes this problem worse but come on.

i'm sure they won't mind...
