So let me help:
1. Yes, women roughly know when their period will come, it does NOT mean it will and it does NOT mean it won't come earlier and you might not be prepared.
2. Some women have to live with super irregular cycles which mean's it's an absolute mad mystery on when their period arrives.
3. Yes, you roughly know when your tampon/pad (or whatever else used) could potentially overflow. HOWEVER when you're outside sometimes there is no place to change and/or delays on your way there happen.
4. What you do? Clean it up, like you would with anything else.
