Can you find your way through the maze before you are caught?
Get this battle map for your sci-fi, cyberpunk, or modern TTRPG scenarios from my Patreon or my website.
The Voidrunner-class light freighter is my version of the Sunrise Maiden from the #Starfinder#TTRPG. It's also heavily inspired by the Milano from the Guardians of the Galaxy.
What's your favorite spaceship type for your sci-fi RPG PCs?
@MiskasMaps Yeah it’s a bit fuzzy as it’s been years, but everything they put out for it was really really good and I still think about it like 25 years later? Crazy what sticks with you
In 2025 I'm going to delve deeper into the world of old-school renaissance games and space horror. Here's some research material I've been perusing for inspiration.
Also, I'd be interested to know what's your favorite OSR or space horror TTRPG? Any recommendations?
@MiskasMaps I really loved Alternity when it came out years and years ago. When the Dungeon magazine had adventures published for them they were always my favorite thing to read through and look at maps and pictures.
@MiskasMaps Dark Space. could be used with Rolemaster or Space Master or both depending on how you were running things. There were bits in Shadow World where both could be used as well. Great bit.
shoutout also to @MiskasMaps , @CzepekuScifi and @2minutetabletop : all excellent map making patreons I follow and purchase from when I can. All do fantastic sci-fi maps/assets (and others!)
The boarding operation is in progress!
Btw, the full map pack available on Miska's Maps' Patreon has versions without the boarded ship, a damaged version of the assault shuttle, and a bunch of other variant versions.
And fighting the social media algorithms is no fun either. The moment you add a link or use a word too many times, engagement plummets and nobody sees your posts... unless you pay, which is not so easy to do when you are a small publisher.
@JasonBulmahn Word.
I've been running a small indie publishing company since 2006 in Finland (@IronspinePress ) and it's quite renown in Finland. However, now that we are planning to heading to English market, we need to start from almost zero. It's frustrating to start the work all over 😅
One of the things I hate most about having my own small publishing imprint is the constant need to advertise the work, to try and raise awareness. It's so much easier to just retreat into my cave and work on things, but that won't matter if nobody knows about it.
It's exhausting
Occasionally, settlements have to be abandoned for various reasons. Sometimes, valuable supplies or technology may have been left behind. Often these sites are looted by scavengers, but if you know where to look, there may still be treasures hidden in them. Or below them.
Here is a deckplan of a medium transport vessel with a cargo hold that has an automatic cargo handling system that stores and sorts cargo containers using conveyor rails.
This place is probably scavenged for resources and any valuable tech, but if you know where to look, it might be worth a visit.
This map features an abandoned and ruined dome colony on Mars or a similar desolate rust-colored planet.
