I know there can be a divide between SLT & teachers but I am honestly blessed this isn’t the case in my school. They see ME. And when I am being overly emotional, help. When I disagree, support and navigate. When I say no, respect. When I just say help… They say how & we will.
@thosethatcan A child who struggled with reading went from 8/40 to 24/40 on the PSCheck in year 2. He told EVERYONE in the school about how much he had improved and how hard he’d worked. He’s now in Year 5 confidently reading chapter books. ❤️ He always had so much enthusiasm for reading. 🏆
I'm currently writing a chapter on Finding the Joy in teaching and would really appreciate it if you could share your most joyful moments with me on this thread. Work your magic, #edutwitter. Let's slam that negativity bias!

For anyone who needs to hear it:
- yes, it is always like this at the beginning of term
- yes, that tension headache will go away eventually
- yes, you will get back into a routine
- yes, you do know what you’re doing
☺️
If young men want a proper inspirational man to look up to instead of that hate filled freak they should watch both series of Freddie Flintoffs Field of Dreams. Such a beautiful and empathetic human.♥️
We’ve been trying to add tools to our writer’s kit to enhance our writing & we’re going to try some out! The children are going to write their own stories based on what is seen from a window at different times using the gorge Window by Jeannie Baker 🖤 #EduTwitter#PrimaryRocks
Quite a lot of advice floating around for new teachers about behaviour management. My piece of advice I always give is simply to be as predictable as you possibly can. Let very little you do or say take children off guard. Predictability = routine = safety = trust.
As schools across England break up for the summer holiday, there is no better time to say THANK YOU to all the incredible teachers who've supported our children throughout this academic year.

What a lovely afternoon at @FoleyPAcademy. It’s a delight to watch children from 3 different schools across the trust work together and uphold the trust values. @VicAcademies
I can’t even cope with how wonderful Year 1’s paper sculptures are 😩😍
They listened so carefully to how to make the different shapes and then got creative on their own 🖤 #ks1art
