I’ll always champion peaceful protest. But the Unite the Kingdom march organisers are peddling hatred and division. We’ve already blocked visas for far-right agitators who want to come here to spew their extremist views. They don't speak for the decent, fair, respectful Britain I know.

We should all take a moment to appreciate the brave police officers who apprehended the suspected terrorist in Golders Green. Knowing they were putting their own lives were on the line. Knowing they were being filmed. Knowing malevolent forces in this country (like Polanski) would try to falsely paint their actions as brutality. In reality they were not just proportionate, they were courageous and no doubt saved lives. My deepest gratitude to those brave officers. God speed.

#UPDATE | We are carrying out an evacuation at the Utilita Arena in Birmingham after a potential suspicious bag was found. A 19-year-old man is in custody and as a precaution the site is currently subject of a search. We will provide further updates when we can.

I think Starmer is just a deeply unpleasant bloke. Awful PM, awful man. He should do us all a favour and resign.

The Prime Minister appointed Peter Mandelson before the vetting had been completed, vetting Mandelson failed. Starmer then said full due process was followed. THAT is misleading Parliament. I'm only holding him to the same standards to which he’s held previous Prime Ministers - that if they mislead parliament, they should resign. In these dangerous times, Britain cannot afford to have a Prime Minister who the country doesn't trust. Starmer has betrayed our national security. He should go.
