We’ve been busy! In social studies we’ve been learning about economics. To wrap up the unit students put on a mini market, selling classroom “goods” to consumers. Both shoppers and producers experienced budgeting and supply and demand issues in real time! @MRSroadrunners

Paleontologists at work! Today in science we tested making impressions with hard and soft objects to determine which animal body parts would have a greater chance at becoming fossils!🦖🦕🦴 @MRSroadrunners

The past couple of weeks we’ve been using addition and subtraction to create our own taco trucks. Today students had fun asking their classmates for their orders and finding out how much money they were making!🌮

A special mystery reader visited us today…my fiancée! His high school was off today, so he gave our third graders a good chuckle reading to them before lunch…and told them they’re invited to the wedding next summer 🤣 @MRSroadrunners

In our narrative nonfiction unit we’ve been reading biographies about different artists. Today students had to write to compare and contrast two of them and I was so impressed by their responses!🌟🎨🎶 We are loving Collaborative Classroom! @MRSroadrunners

3rd graders celebrating the 100th Day of School with a fashion show!

Celebrated 100 days of third grade in the most fashionable way! I loved seeing everyone’s creative shirts as they walked down the runway!💯🌟❤️ @MRSroadrunners

In our fiction reading unit and narrative writing unit we’re learning about figurative language. Today we read a poem about some interesting ice cream flavors and then tried making our own with alliterations!🍦📖✏️ @mrsroadrunners
