Wedding signage is coming along nicely, albeit wonky in places 🤣 Why I decided to make all of this rather than buy it is beyond me

2 weeks tomorrow, I get married. Which is insane to me, to think that 5 and a half years ago I went on an arranged date with a friend’s brother and now we’re getting married. Ironically, we went bowling and played pool for our second date (8hrs after the first).

Been rewatching Ted Lasso recently, and the kids at school have all been watching it too. There’s so many motivational quotes that relate to school in there so I have began my ‘School According to Ted Lasso’ display. Just need to find some Roy Kent quotes that aren’t sweary🤣

No greater way to welcome in the summer holidays than a trip to the theatre to watch one of my bucket list shows: The Book of Mormon. Absolutely incredible stuff.

@MissBThe3rd I wonder if some of it is that when they finish Yr6, they've finished their Key Stage - the SATS results are back. Whereas really Yr11/13 don't finish their KS until results' day.

Seeing primary schools doing fully fledged graduation ceremonies whereas we just chuck Y11 out the door after a quick assembly is one of life’s great mysteries

@Gwenelope I didn’t even think of proms. I guess though proms are seen as a party rather than a ceremony

Feels weird doing this on a ‘professional’ account, but ultimately I think it’s the only place I’ll find anyone with shared experience.

Wedding planning is stressful, teaching is stressful. Things not going right is stressful. I am burnt out beyond belief and feel so unwell. 4 weeks until I tie the knot but I’m so terrified it will all go wrong I can’t look forward to it. Is this normal?

This is theft of my intellectual property at this point, who am I suing???

Woke up with conjunctivitis this morning and I feel it’s the universe giving me a sign that I need a break

I’ve now also finally sorted ceremony music with the brass band I play in. A childhood friend is playing a gorgeous trombone solo as we sign the register. It’s all going to be very bloody beautiful.

The perk of a sister in law to be being a florist is that my wedding flowers have cost £50. 3 bridesmaid bouquets, 1 bridal bouquet, 4 buttonholes and 2 corsages. Bargain.

@Gwenelope I keep reliving every retch and gag which is as fun as it sounds. Throat is sore and still feels like they’re rooting around in there 😭 feel like I’ll never stop reliving it.

@MissBThe3rd OH GOOD GRIEF - stuff of nightmares. How you feeling now?

Had a gastroscopy this morning and honestly it was truly a traumatic event so much so I tried to pull the scope out and was pinned to the gurney by 3 nurses. As soon as the scope was out I had a panic attack and have been on the verge of tears all day. The worst med procedure.

@PandaMum14 Yeah it didn’t even do that. I was writhing around on that bed like a fish out of water🙁 with my partner now and planning an emotionally restorative nap

@MissBThe3rd They don’t give you a lot, just enough to relax you. Hope you have got someone with you

@PandaMum14 Yeah I was sedated but honestly the amount they give you does nothing. It was truly awful

@MissBThe3rd Sorry to hear this. It’s awful if you have a bad experience medically. Were you offered sedation?

@MissBThe3rd Were you not offered sedation?
