A year ago, I was in a&e with the mental health crisis team because I couldn’t see a way out. Today, I graduated with a first class honours. Just a reminder that you CAN do it, no matter how much it feels like you can’t. It hasn’t been easy, but the best things never are 🎓🤍

People need to stop commenting on other people’s bodies. Today a stranger walked past me, laughed and said ‘you’ve been in a fight haven’t you’. The scars on my arms are four years old. I was just stood by my car, minding my own business.

The government CONSTANTLY say they are investing money into mental health services yet we never see the change. Globally 800,000 die due to suicide each year. There should not be a wait to get the help when you need it. We lose so many lives each year because of lack of services.

1.4 million under 18s were referred to NHS mental health services in 2022. That’s a 76% increase from 2019 - the highest number on record. And the second year in a row where referrals exceeded one million. Young people are being failed. theguardian.com/society/2023/j…

This makes so much sense

Our hearts are heavy reading this. One-third of children referred to services are denied help. That’s 250,000 children without the support they need. Thresholds for support are too high, waiting lists are too long, and young people are being failed.

So proud of you 🫶🏻 you’re incredible ✨

Life is so short and you just have no idea what is round the corner so hold your loved ones a little tighter, spend more time with the people you care about, tell the people in your life you love them and tell them often ❤️
