@MrsCrerar and P3 organised an amazing treasure hunt around the school as part of International Day of Maths. P6 worked with @MissCSwan_ and P2 to hunt for the coloured QR codes, watch videos, answer maths problems and use the code to find a secret message #DunipaceMaths #idm314

Big thank you to our Young STEM Leaders for teaching us how to make different joins when junk modelling. We learned how to fold, slot, tie, use tabs, make a flange and L-Brace. We can’t wait to use these new skills when constructing. 👷‍♀️👷🏾 @MrsGuidori #DunipaceSTEM

P6 spent the afternoon with P1, 2 & 3 enjoying Global Schools Day of Play exploring all the different play zones. “You can discover more about a person in an hour of play than in a year of conversation” - Plato. #GSPD2023.

We heard the Chinese New Year zodiac story this week & researched different celebrations that take place. We created dancing dragons by folding paper into a springy concertina & enjoyed making lucky red envelopes with our P1-3 friends too 🐲🧧#DunipaceIDL @MrsCrerar @MissCSwan_

We spoke today about how everyone is different and unique. We then made selfie iPads with lots of pictures to show off what makes us special. 🤳😀 #DunipaceHWB

We learned what a harvest is and which fruits and vegetables are grown in the UK. We then chose our favourite fruit and made a pictograph. We spoke about the most and least popular fruits and the difference between them. 🍓🍏🚜 #DunipaceMaths

After we learn a new sound it becomes the “secret password” for entering the classroom, allowing for several extra daily repetitions. The kids ❤️ it - and don’t worry about the ones who forget; if they don’t copy the child in front of them I supply the sound for them to repeat.
