Waiting for my DBS to come back. Postal strikes = no DBS. No DBS = no work. No work = no money. No money = no bills being paid. Living in a nightmare atm.

@MissPhillipsFS1 I’ve had regular work, mostly 5 days a week where I was available. Holidays are hard without pay but depends if you can budget for it/circumstances.

Teachers who have done supply- what is the work like? Is it regular/enough to live off still?

@MissCWaudby @MrTs_NQTs I’ve done single years and mixed - mixed years are much harder IMO. Does have its benefits too though. Planning takes a lot more time as nobody to share with (assuming it’s mixed bc small school) but you have way more autonomy

@MissWalsh28 @MrTs_NQTs Year 3/4 but quite a few needs in the class, just worried my confidence isn’t up to where it should be after a year on supply - planning wise!

@MissCWaudby @MrTs_NQTs Depends on the year groups that are mixed and the cohorts needs. I’ve been in several different mixes and they generally work well. The only one that is a challenge is an EYFS/Year 1 mix!

Can’t decide whether supply agencies don’t listen or they choose not to listen 🤔
