As part of the Data Handling topic in Maths, P6C created surveys on their iPads and collected responses from their class and P7s using QR codes. Today, we analysed the results 📊🧑‍💻 #digitalHPS

🌟50 years of Hallglen - Celebration Week🌟 🌟Day 1 - Gold RRS Award celebrations🌟 Pupils wrote acts of kindness to make Kindness Chains. These show how we live our school values every day and will be displayed in the hall during our concert on Wednesday❤️ #HPSRRS

We worked with our buddies by learning about the season Spring. We completed a word-search and a maze.

We combined our maths skills of using a compass and our space topic to create these amazing pictures 🌚 @MissCochraneHPS

World Book Day 📚

Last week, we had @ASC_Jen in to teach us all about orienteering! We put our map skills to the test, navigating our school area to find hidden challenge cards. 🗺️📍🧭

A big thank you to @lindanoble53 , Andrew, and Derek for giving us the opportunity to explore a ShelterBox! As part of our RotaKids fundraising, we have learned so much about how these life-saving kits support people after disasters. @ShelterBox ❤️

Last week P6C tested how buildings withstand earthquakes by designing spaghetti and marshmallow structures and putting them through a shake test! 🌎🧱

Today, P6C erupted their paper mâché volcanoes that they have put so much effort into! 🌋

What do you think of our paper mâché volcanoes? 🌋 We have been working in groups to create our own volcanoes, soon we will be making them erupt!

Yesterday, we explored volcanic eruptions! P6C became scientists by conducting an experiment to create a volcanic eruption🌋 #STEM

During our topic lesson last week, we explored the different parts of a volcano and labelled the main features. 🌋

In P6C today, we learned about how distances are measured in space. We used our knowledge of ratio to make a scaled model of the solar system in the area 🪐💫
