A very special trip today… I was lucky enough to meet the lovely @rupikaur_ and have my books signed by her. I love her poetry and have been using it to inspire my creativity as a break from school recently. It was a lovely opportunity❤️

On such a somber day, I was extremely proud of my children for the respect and maturity that they showed whilst learning about Anne Frank and the Holocaust today. They were so grown up!

We paid our local small business book shop a visit today to celebrate #BookshopDay and I absolutely had to buy this fabulous Advent Calendar! I’m looking forward to reading a book a day with my class during Advent🥰

I identified a Harry Potter book by the two opening paragraphs while on a training course today. I’m not quite sure what to make of that🙈

Halfway through the first half term already! I’ve been absolutely loving this year so far! We even held a colour run for the children yesterday which was such a joy🩷

Mr T's NQT/ECT support 🙋🏻‍♂️
*Daily Tip* Taking feedback can be difficult. Teaching is such a personal thing, we often take criticism personally. The majority of people give you the feedback to make you a better teacher. Train yourself to not take it personally. (something I am still working on) #YouGotThis

🚨 NEW: We’re scrapping single headline Ofsted judgements with immediate effect. Ofsted judgements have been high stakes for schools, low information for parents. We’ll: ✅ Give parents more transparency ✅ Drive high & rising standards ✅ Pave the way for school report cards

We’ve received a lot of messages in the last 24hrs, sorry I couldn’t reply to everyone but I’m sure you understand why. Thank you for your kindness and support, it means a lot. Teddy my 7 yr old daughter was at the horrific incident in Southport yesterday. She went in with her best friend, a friend she was so lucky to have; the smartest, prettiest little angel from the best family you could ever wish to know. It breaks my heart to say her little friend has been taken away from this cruel world. We just pray she is in peace and her family find the strength to get through this. Her Mum, My Dad an I were one of the first at scene, when only 3 officers present so the media reports of it being armed officers who detained him is not true - it was local, every day police officers. They defied orders and risked their own lives to protect the lives of children from our community. The things witnessed will live in our memories forever. Those same police officers; who get paid less than a McDonald’s manager, got home, hugged their own kids and got back up this morning to do it all again, are now being attacked on the streets. No matter what your political views are, they are not the problem. Please, for the sake of the poor victims and their families, STOP THE VIOLENCE. We will forever be in debt to Leanne, Heidi, Greg, Joel, John and every other hero who helped save so many lives. 💙 ❤️💜

That’s a wrap for my first ever class! I am feeling so blessed and honoured to have taught each and every child this year, despite all of the challenges that come with being a first year teacher. Sad to be going but I’m really looking forward to my next step in … year 5 🥹🥰

I can’t believe that my penultimate week of ECT1 is over! It has been such a fun week of meeting my new class and staff at my new school and going back to see my trainee class in their year 6 production. I am really going to have to make the most of this final week🥺
