Some of Year 1’s brilliant setting descriptions were published today! We have worked so hard on expanding our vocabulary and wow, hasn’t it paid off 🤩🤩 @ElementsSchool

Wow Year 5! Such impressive work 👏🏼 the best part of was just how excited and proud the children were to show these off. What a difference it makes when children are excited to write 😁

What a lovely surprise from a parent this morning! Followed by a special tea party during assembly time while our fabulous children sang to us ❤️ happy ‘Thank a Teacher Day’ to all the incredible staff that go above and beyond for their children @ElementsSchool

What an honour to be shortlisted for Primary School of the Year!!

We are so lucky at @ElementsSchool to have a full class set of VR headsets. Today in Year 1 we explored different settings around the world, ready for writing setting descriptions over the next two weeks 😁 a brilliant immersive experience to ‘hook’ them into their learning!

Year 1 have been learning all about animal conservation in Geography this half term and have created some fantastic posters persuading people to look after animal habitats 🐼🐒🐟 @ElementsSchool

What a fantastic evening at Headingley Stadium with our @ElementsSchool cheerleaders 📣 they were absolutely fantastic dancing on the pitch pre match and did our school proud! Massive well done to @pewithglee & @MissCrossley02 for organising such an experience for our children👏🏼

How fab are Year 1’s abstract cats in the style of Laurel Burch! Kenji said “I am pretending I am Laurel Burch I can get inside her imagination” 😭👏🏼 superstars @ElementsSchool

We also started our Measurement topic in Maths and loved our active maths lesson where we used different units of measurement to estimate and measure objects around our classroom 📏 @ElementsSchool

We’ve had a brilliant and busy week in Year 1 @ElementsSchool 😁 we have been looking at print making in Art have created some Orla Kiely and William Morris inspired pieces ready to be showcased in our school art gallery 🖼️🎨

Two super star Year 1s have filled their reading records and therefore have been able to select a book from our Reading Machine this morning. They are SO excited about taking these home! @ElementsSchool

The librarians have worked extremely hard in our school library today to ensure all our books were correctly categorised and how beautiful is it looking? Freya was very passionate about ensuring there were clear rules in place for using the library 🤩📖 @ElementsSchool
